CENOTES

The Yucatan Peninsula is home to more than 6,000 cenotes, the largest number of cenotes in the world. 226 of these are in Tulum alone.

There are several popular cenotes in Tulum, that are considered to be some of the best, including:

1 . GRAN CENOTE Known for its crystal-clear waters and diverse range of marine life, Gran Cenote is a popular spot for snorkeling and diving.

2 . CENOTE CALAVERA (Skull Cenote) Named after its skull-shaped entrance, this cenote is famous for its clear waters and beautiful underwater formations.

3 . CENOTE DOS OJOS (Two Eyes Cenote) A series of interconnected cenotes, Dos Ojos is known for its clear waters, abundant marine life, and diverse diving opportunities.

4 . CENOTE ANGELITA (Little Angel Cenote) This unique cenote features a surreal underwater river and is a popular spot for diving.

5 . CENOTE CRISTALINO (Crystal Clear Cenote) With its clear waters and diverse range of marine life, Cenote Cristalino is a popular spot for snorkeling and diving.

Note that these are just a few of the many cenotes in Tulum, and the best one for you will depend on your interests and what you are looking for in a cenote experience.
